UPDATE: 9 pm
LSU baseball now has to wait until Thursday to kick off its run in this year’s SEC Tournament.
With rain affecting the schedule out in Hoover, the Tigers won’t see actual until 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning, after having been originally scheduled to face the Auburn-Kentucky winner.
Not knowing the opponent for that matchup is a major reason why, with that game moved from Tuesday to Wednesday.
The shift means more schedule changes could be coming down the line as the double-elimination portion of the bracket begins. Otherwise LSU could be forced to play a double-header on Friday.
ORIGINAL STORY
LSU baseball went into Tuesday still awaiting its eventual opponent in the SEC Tournament, and that won't be changing tonight.
The game between Kentucky and Auburn scheduled for Tuesday evening has been pushed back after multiple weather delays early in the day affected the schedule. There was no official start time for the rescheduled game as of Tuesday afternoon, but it's likely to come in the morning.

While it means less time to prepare for whatever team LSU faces, that group will be at a significant disadvantage if it's being forced to play its second game of the day. LSU's matchup with the Auburn/Kentucky winner is set for a late first pitch on Wednesday evening.
It's possible the schedule sees further disruptions with rain expected to continue to impact Hoover Metropolitan Stadium throughout the evening.
Alabama kicked off the action with a 5-3 win over Georgia, but the matchup between S. Carolina and Florida was delayed and still had not begun as of 5:30 p.m.
