Nationals prospect Dylan Crews is headed back to Double-A Harrisburg to start the year, but come September, he may be back in DC for the stretch run – and coming from LSU, he knows the Commanders have the No. 2 pick, and could be looking at a fellow former Tiger to be their selection as their next QB.

And make no mistake: Crews would love to see Jayden Daniels in burgundy and gold.

“We've talked a couple times, and I really hope he does (come to DC). That'd be pretty cool,” Crews said. “Amazing talent. For a dual-threat guy that can run the ball and sling it like he does, I think it would be a perfect fit for here.”

LSU has quite the network of emerging pro talent, from Crews and Daniels and 2023 No. 1 pick Paul Skenes and a pair of likely Top 10 wideouts, and on over to hoops star Angel Reese – a likely Top 3 pick if she leaves LSU this year, and maybe No. 1 next year, in the WNBA Draft – and NIL darling gymnast Livvy Dunne, so having two in DC would indeed be ‘pretty cool.’
