Former LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda is in his first season as the head coach of the Baylor Bears.
Aranda’s team has performed well on the field but will temporarily have to put it’s season on hold after positive COVID-19 tests within the program.
Baylor’s Athletic Department \suspended all football-related activities while contact tracing is completed.
"At this time and in the interest of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff, we have temporarily suspended all football-related activities. Their health and wellness will always be our top priority," Baylor Director of Athletics Mack B. Rhoades said in a news release. "We are taking all possible precautions and our focus remains playing the scheduled game with Oklahoma State at McLane Stadium on October 17."
The Bears are currently 1-1 with the loss coming in the second overtime period against West Virginia. Baylor's next scheduled game is against Oklahoma State Oct. 17.
