Heisman winner Daniels gets football field named after him

Jayden Daniels
USA TODAY Sports

As he waits to see where he lands in the first round of the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels continues to watch the accolades pour in.

The most recent of those found the third Heisman winner in LSU history receiving a huge honor from his high school alma mater.

Cajon High School in San Bernardino, Calif., presented Daniels with a letterman jacket as a token, but the real award was the announcement that they would be naming their football stadium after him.

Daniels accounted for over 5,000 yards of offense for LSU last season, his final as a college player, scoring 50 total touchdowns to help the Tigers to a 9-3 record.

He’s also projected to be one of the top quarterbacks taken in the NFL Draft.
