The weather isn't the only thing that has been unseasonably warm: Brian Kelly's seat as head coach of LSU Football might be warming up, too, after dropping another conference road game. But that wouldn't be cheap.
"Well the buyout would be $53 million," explained TigerRag.com's Glen Guilbeau -- almost triple what they paid to send Ed Orgeron packing four years ago. "That would be the most in LSU history. They paid Ed Orgeron maybe 18 million."
However, big buyouts are becoming more common.
"If you look at what's been going on with college football recently with Penn State's coach, his buyout was $49 million," said Guilbeau.
But Kelly likely isn't in job-saving mode yet.
"In Brian Kelly's corner is the fact that Scott Woodward, LSU's athletics director, is still there," said Guilbeau. "He's the one who hired Kelly."
Even so, Kelly was hired to win championships -- and in three seasons, and now likely four, LSU hasn't even made the College Football Playoffs.
