LSU's starting pitcher Jaden Hill left the Tigers' 11-2 loss to Vanderbilt Friday night in the second inning due to an arm injury.
LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri said the team will have Hill, who gave up three runs, two earned, on two hits in 1.1 innings, evaluated further by doctors.
"They're going to do some tests and obtain a specific diagnosis," Mainieri said following . "We're going to be optimistic and hope for the best. It's so heartbreaking to see this happen to a young man who has so much at stake. I just couldn't believe it, and the game obviously become a secondary thing for me at that point."
