New LSU head coach Brian Kelly has been a good sport about viral TikTok dance videos and his questionable southern accent, but that doesn't mean the jokes have gone away entirely.
Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey noted Kelly's dance video during the recruitment of 5-star quarterback Walker Howard while introducing LSU's head coach for his appearance at SEC Media Days.

Shortly thereafter, Kelly's title was listed on the SEC Network broadcast as "Elite TikTok Dancer."
Kelly had said previously on the subject: "When the 5-star quarterback wants to do something, you do it."
But it didn't end there. After a question posed to Kelly that requested he answer it in "his best southern accent," Kelly got yet another title: "Southern Accent Expert."
It was, of course, referencing the viral moment that occurred when Kelly stood on the court at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center shortly after his hiring and addressed the crowd, speaking with a confusing-at-best accent that could possibly be called southern.
Kelly was a good sport about the question, though he was unaware of the new title he had just received.
"Understand now, I have a Boston-midwestern-Louisiana accent now, so it’s three dialects into one," he said. "It’s no longer family, I’ve got all kinds of stuff to throw at you. So just be ready.
