Cade York hit a 57-yard field goal with 23 second remaining to give LSU a huge upset against the No. 6 Florida in Gainesville Saturday.
Florida opened got on the board first with a 1-yard touchdown run from quarterback Kyle Trask.
LSU answered on its ensuing drive with when Max Johnson found Jaray Jenkins in the endzone for a 5-yard touchdown pass. The score finished an 11-play, 75-yard drive.
The Tigers took a 14-7 lead when freshman cornerback Eli Ricks returned a Kyle Trask interception 68 yards for for a touchdown.
Florida regained the lead after a 23-yard Evan McPherson field goal and a 19-yard touchdown reception from Jacob Copeland.
LSU would regain the lead, 21-17, with 33 seconds to play in the half when Johnson found a wide open Kayshon Boutte streaking down the right sideline for a 34-yard touchdown.
The Tigers scored once more before the half when Ray Thornton forced a Kyle Trask fumble that was recovered by a BJ Ojulari. The recovery set up a 39-yard field goal to to give the Tigers a 24-17 lead.
LSU went up 27-17 in the third quarter on a 30-yard field goal from Cade York.
Florida answered when Trask capped a four-play, 75-yard drive with with his second touchdown run of the night.
The Gators took the lead later in the third quarter when Kadarius Toney scored on a nine-yard screen pass from Trask to se the score at 31-37 Florida.
The Tigers would get the lead back early in the fourth quarter when Johnson completed a nine-play, 84-yard drive with a four-yard touchdown pass to Tre Bradford.
Florida evened the score at 34-34 when McPherson hit a 31-yard field goal.
But York was able to earn the win for the TIgers with his 57-yard game winner.
