One of the most anticipated matchups on the LSU women's basketball schedule is two days away, and if you want to see the game in person, you may have to shell out a pretty penny to buy a ticket.
The ninth-ranked Tigers will face the number-one-ranked team in the nation, South Carolina, at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Thursday. LSU is the reigning, defending national champion. South Carolina won the national championship the year before and is seeking a fourth consecutive trip to the Final Four.
The teams' recent success is making the LSU/South Carolina game the hottest ticket in town, with some seats selling for as much as near $4,200 on some resale markets.
Seat Geek is LSU's ticket resale partner. Tickets on that website range from $41 for a nosebleed general admission seat to $1,399 for a seat in section 103. On Vivid Seats, the lowest-priced ticket is selling for $67, while the most expensive seat--located in section 112--is going for $3,500. On StubHub, the cheapest seat available is a $71 general admission ticket. However, some scalpers are reselling general admission tickets on that site for as much as $1,040. Meanwhile, someone is reselling a seat in section 115 for $2,225. Ticketmaster's resale prices range from $87 for an upper bowl seat to $4,170 for a seat in section 112.
If you don't have that much money, or if you'd rather spend your cash on something else, you can watch the game Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
