LSU’s stay in the major college polls has come to an end for now.

After a disastrous 27-16 loss to Florida, the LSU Tigers (6-4 overall, 3-3 SEC) find themselves unranked in the Associated Press Writers Poll for the first time in two years. The Tigers received only six votes, one vote more than the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, who lost on Saturday to South Alabama to fall to 8-2 (5-1 Sun Belt). LSU received only one vote in the AFCA Coaches Poll, four fewer than UL.

Meanwhile, Tulane is on the rise in both major polls.

The Green Wave (9-2, 7-0 AAC) shut out Navy 35-0 on Saturday to clinch a berth in the American Athletic Conference Championship Game. Tulane is ranked 20th in both the AP Writers Poll and the AFCA Coaches Poll. Tulane moved up five spots in the AP Poll and is ranked for the first time this year in the Coaches Poll.

Both polls feature the same top five teams this week. Oregon is the consensus number-one team in the nation, followed by Ohio State, Texas, Penn State, and Indiana.
