An all-time LSU great is back in the NFL. Running back Leonard Fournette has been signed by the Buffalo Bills.
Fournette is entering his seventh NFL season after being taken 4th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft following an illustrious college career in Baton Rouge.
After spending his first three pro seasons in Jacksonville, Fournette stayed in Florida and spent his next three in Tampa Bay, helping the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl win three years ago.
By joining the Bills, he'll look to bolster a running game that currently ranks 14th in the NFL with a backfield that features James Cook and Latavius Murray.
Quarterback Josh Allen is currently the Bills' second-leading rusher.
Fournette has reportedly passed his physical and will join the Bills' practice squad with an eye towards elevating to the main roster, according to multiple reports.
"Playoff Lenny" ran for 668 yards last season and averaged 3.5 yards per carry, scoring three touchdowns. He also had 523 receiving yards on 73 catches to top the 1,000-yard mark for total yards from scrimmage. He scored another three touchdowns on receptions.
