The defending national champion LSU women’s basketball team could be getting a boost for their backcourt. Multiple reports say Hailey Van Lith is visiting Baton Rouge as she explores her transfer portal options following 3 years at Louisville.
Last season, the 5-ft-7 guard averaged 20 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists per game.
Lith was almost under Kim Mulkey’s tutelage back in 2020 as a high school recruit. But, ended up choosing Louisville over Baylor.
She has scored 1,553 career points and made it to three straight Elite Eight appearances, including a Final Four in 2022.
Lith has 2 years of eligibility remining and could fill a hole on the Tigers roster left by Alexis “Lex Luthor” Morris. The Lady Tigers also lost La’Dazhia Williams, Jasmine Carson, and Emily Ward from their national title winning team.
