LSU on the cusp of a top 10 recruiting class

Despite the coaching change, LSU could still have a top ten recruiting class. The Tigers 2026 class is currently ranked 10th by On3.com.

Highlighting the class so far is Richard Anderson. The number one defensive tackle in the country out of Edna Karr, who ended up signing on Wednesday despite reports saying he would wait to see who his position coach would be.

Here are the other players to sign on Wednesday:

OT Brysten Martinez from East Ascension High School

Top offensive lineman in the state, stays in Louisiana despite Texas trying to get him to sign.

CB Havon Finney from Los Angeles

A Top 100 recruit, who was expected to delay his signing. The fact he signed is a possible indication secondary coach Corey Raymond will remain at LSU.

WR Jabari Mack from Destrehan

One of my favorite players in the class. Very versatile, saw him return an interception for 100 yards against Catholic High in the season opener. His body size will remind you of Ja’Marr Chase at Rummel. Top rated WR in Louisiana.

WR Corey Barber from Pinson, Alabama.

Second best wide receiver in Alabama. Barber decommitted from Ole Miss. Also received scholarship offers from Alabama, Georgia and Miami,

S Aiden Hall from Edna Karr

One of 15 players from Edna Karr High School to sign with a division one school, which is crazy. Hall is 6-1.5, 195 pounds. A big safety that’s physical and can run. Could end up as an OLB at LSU.

TE JC Anderson from Decatur, Illinois

Trey’Dez Green is 6-7, and JC Anderson is 6-6. Another player who decommitted from the Rebels after Kiffin was hired at LSU. Technically Kiffin’s first LSU commitment.

S Isaiah Washington from Haynesville High School

Haynesville High school, with its 17 state championships, is one of the best small school programs in the state, but very players from that school sign at LSU. First since 2019.  If they beat Jeanerette on Friday, Washington will play in the Superdome on Thursday.

WR Brayden Allen from Lafayette Christian High School

Former Oklahoma commitment, who is excited to have a chance to play in Lane Kiffin’s offense. Met with Kiffin on Sunday night. Ranked as the fourth best receiver in the state. Another player who could showcase his talents in the Superdome next week if LCA can get past Dunham on Friday night.

CB Dexyrian Ellis from Franklin Parish HS

Ellis was a quarterback at Franklin Parish and made the Patriots relevant the last couple of years. He’s the first player to sign at LSU out of Franklin Parish since Booger McFarland did when he came out of old Winnsboro High School. Rated as a three-star athlete.

IOL Ryan Miret from Miami, Florida

Another Ole Miss flip that is now headed to LSU.

LSU has six other commitments that have yet to sign, including the nation’s number one athlete, Lamar Brown from University High in Baton Rouge.

LSU is also trying to land a high school quarterback in this class. Landon Duckworth from Alabama is a South Carolina commitment, but the Tigers are trying to sign him.
