Myles Brennan likely won't play again this season unless something 'miraculous' happens

LSU will likely be without its starting quarterback for the rest of the season unless something “miraculous” happens, Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron said on Wednesday’s SEC coaches teleconference.

“We’re looking at the injury and we’re looking to see if he can come back through rehab or if the best thing to do is go with an operation that would help him out,” Orgeron said. “So. we haven’t made a final decision but it doesn’t look like he’s going to be back unless some miraculous thing happens.”

Brennan hasn’t played since suffering an abdominal and hip injury in LSU’s Week 3 loss to Missouri.

LSU’s gone 1-1 without the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Mississippi native in the starting lineup. True freshman TJ Finley started both of those games and led the Tigers to a big win vs. South Carolina but struggled in a loss to Auburn. True freshman passer Max Johnson also saw playing time vs. Auburn.

In Brennan’s three starts this season he completed 60.percent of his passes for 1,112 yards 11 touchdowns and three interceptions.
