Brian Kelly played it coy earlier in the week, but there was no question on Saturday: Joe Burrow was back to help his Tigers recruit.

He was one of several former Tigers in town for LSU's annual spring game, along with Ja'Marr Chase, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Lloyd Cushenberry. Burrow also joined LSU women's basketball star Angel Reese for a ring finger pose, which both players hit on their way to national championships.

The appearance marked the second consecutive season Burrow and multiple 2019 title Tigers put in facetime at LSU's spring game. It's a major assist for the LSU recruiting push, Kelly explained.

"[Burrow is] a headliner, but all of our alums have been great about coming back throughout the year to help us recruit," Kelly said. "We’ll have a player panel where it gives us an opportunity to discuss what it’s like to be part of this program, so the recruits will get that kind of side of it as well. ... They’ll get a chance to really see the inside outs of the program, so it’ll be a pretty big day for us.”

The finale of the spring program was also set to feature a crawfish boil, and saw the debut of "the path" logo at midfield, a new mantra for the program as LSU heads into the second year under Brian Kelly. The Tiger's Eye logo has not been replaced, though, and it'll be back at midfield when LSU kicks off its 2023 home slate against Grambling State on Sept. 9.
