LSU vs. Alabama could be rescheduled for Dec. 5, reports say

LSU’s matchup with Alabama which was originally scheduled for for earlier this month could be rescheduled for Dec. 5, according to multiple reports.

The game was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak within LSU’s program. Due to contact tracing within the Tigers program, LSU did not have the minimum amount of scholarship player to face the Tide.

Per the reports, LSU-Alabama could take place next Saturday with the Tigers currently scheduled Dec. 5 game against Ole Miss being rescheduled for Dec. 19.
Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron said earlier this week that he was hoping that SEC and LSU could find a way to reschedule the game.

“That's a great rivalry, and we look forward to playing them. So if they can fit it in to where we can play Alabama, I'm sure they're going to do it,” he said. “We have Alabama; we have Florida; we have Ole Miss left, and those are awesome great games, and we're ready to play every one of them."

If the game is indeed rescheduled, LSU will finish it’s 2020 season with this weekend’s matchup with Texas A&M, Alabama, Florida which was also rescheduled due to a COVID-19 outbreak and Ole Miss.
