LSU’s Angel Reese didn’t exactly need more pressure on her shoulders as she prepares for her junior season in Baton Rouge. The star of the Tigers’ national championship-winning women’s hoops team has enough raised expectations for next season already.

Then perhaps the Tigers’ most decorate athletic alum, former men’s basketball star and hoops hall of famer Shaquille O’Neal, piled another steaming helping onto her plate when he called her “probably the greatest athlete” LSU has ever produced, regardless of spot.

“I called him after that and I was like, ‘You know how much pressure you just put on me? You know how much?'” Reese said during an appearance on “The Breakfast Club.”

She said O’Neal’s response was simply, “I don’t give a f--k.”

Of course, Shaq has never been shy about speaking his mind, but Reese said she’s got more to prove before she can think about claiming the crown he bestowed upon her.

“I feel like I haven’t done nothing yet, so I told [O’Neal] don’t even say that yet,” she said. “I won a championship, I just don’t feel like I’ve done enough” despite the historic season she had in Baton Rouge.

“I feel like another championship and maybe Player of the Year would hold some more weight,” she added.
