Orgeron sees 'better sense of urgency' as LSU heads to Vanderbilt

Following last weekend loss to Mississippi State in the Tigers season opener, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said he saw a better sense of urgency and more attention to detail from his team throughout this week's practices.

"Watching the film there was less mistakes than there were the week before," Orgeron said. "I do believe I'll guys are hungry to get on the plane and get a victory."

The Tigers head to Nashville this weekend to face a Vanderbilt, at 6:30 p.m., team that is also looking to bounce back from loss and could do so with All-American cornerback Derek Sting;ey Jr. in the lineup.

"As far as I know, he's completely healthy, ready to go," Orgeron said.
"We're going to play him and, obviously, I'm going to ask him how he feels on Saturday. If he feels like he can go we will start him."

Orgeron said the Tigers will also adjust their defensive line rotation by
adding freshman Jaquelin Roy to the mix.

"I should have played him last game," Orgeron said. "I'm in charge of the rotation. I'm going to put him in the rotation, let him play.

"We feel like we got four interior guys right now that could really go and have some fun out there and keep them fresh."
