Chicken, chicken, LSU’s pickin’!

What appears to be a new tradition, like visiting Disney once was, members of the LSU NCAA Champion women’s basketball team will take over a Raising Cane’s drive-thru on Wednesday.

Coach Kim Mulkey, Angel Reese, Alexis Morris, and Flau’Jae Johnson will be brought on as temporary crew members at the Raising Cane’s on Highland Road, the restaurant’s original location on Wednesday.

The NCAA Champions will be joined at the chicken joint, just outside the gates of LSU, by the restaurant’s founder, Todd Graves.

Several other championship winning athletes have joined Graves at his restaurant, including Georgia Quarterback Stetson Bennett, who returned to the cashier counter after he won his second national.

Those who want to get some chicken and a picture can meet the group from around 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. as the team operates the drive-thru.

The team will then head out as they make their way to the team’s championship parade, scheduled to start at around 6:30 p.m.
