When it comes to the new landscape of college sports, where Name-Image-Likeness deals are spreading some of the billions of dollars generated to the athletes actually competing on the field, LSU is quickly becoming a hub for big money, especially when it comes to women.

Four of LSU’s female sports stars have seen their total NIL deals climb up past the $500k mark.

Gymnast Olivia Dunne leads the way, thanks in part to a massive social media presence. Dunne actually ranks second among all athletes, male or female, at $3.4 million.

National championship winning basketball star Angel Reese is also now up above the million-dollar threshold at $1.4 million.

Dunne and Reese will also become the first two college athletes to pose in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue this month.

Two of Reese’s teammates are also pushing weight when it comes to dollars and cents.

Flau’jae Johnson’s NIL total has reached $812k while recent transfer Hailey Van Lith is at $506k.

To show you what kind of money that is for the Tiger basketball squad, the highest paid player in the WNBA is Las Vegas Aces star Jackie Young.
Her salary? $252,450 per year.

That statistic could bode well for Reese’s continued tenure at LSU, which could potentially stretch to five seasons of eligibility thanks to the COVID exemption.
