When Saints defensive end Cam Jordan first saw the now-viral meme Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady tweeted earlier this week with a digitally aged version of himself and Saints quarterback Drew Brees along with a History channel logo, he, for a brief moment, thought it might be real.

“I didn’t even laugh,” Jordan said. “I thought that was going to happen I thought that was a serious event.”

The Saints had just participated in the first ever NFL game to be broadcasted on Nickelodeon, their 21-9 win against the Bears, and Jordan figured why not?

“I’m just saying, first time there’s ever been a Nick game, History Channel might have been next,” he said with a laugh.

The meme which received new life on Wednesday when Comedian Frank Caliendo recorded a trailer for the matchup while impersonating actor Morgan Freeman, fetched laughs throughout the Saints locker room including a few from one of its subjects.

“I thought it was hilarious,” Brees said.

Brees laughed when ask to give his critique of the depictions.

“Tom kind of had the Abraham look,” he’s said with a smile. “Unfortunately, they made me look like the dad from Family Ties. I didn’t like the hairline. I’ll be honest. I would have liked a little thicker head of hair.

“I know I’m getting older probably losing a little bit I would’ve liked a little more hair up top.

“I’ve never been able to grow a beard so maybe that’s what I’ve got later on in my future. Maybe I’ll get a nice good thick beard going.”

Jokes aside Brees said he was excited for the matchup which features the NFL’s all-time leading passers.

“We were texting back and forth on Monday, just kind of chuckling at this whole scenario,” Brees said. “ He 43, I turn 42 on Friday that’s 85 years and a lot of football experience that’s going to be on the field on Sunday.”

Brees even said he envisioned this matchup taking place in the playoffs.

“When Tom Brady signed with the Bucs, and I knew that he was coming to our division, I envisioned this game,” he said. “So what was that? Nine months ago, eight months ago, I envisioned this game happening. Because I knew our aspirations as a team to be in the playoffs and beyond and I certainly knew what he was bringing to the Bucs and that talented roster.”
