Cam Jordan got off to a quiet five-game start, but he's been anything but that in the Saints' past two games.

He landed his first sack of the 2021 season in a 13-10 win over the Seattle Seahawks, and followed that up in Week 8 by plowing RT Tristan Wirfs back into Tom Brady's lap for a sack fumble that the Saints recovered. He was also spotted on the broadcast doing a nifty rolling get-up, displaying rare athleticism for a man his size at any age.

What did he earn for those efforts? Aside from two Saints wins, he got a message from the NFL's random drug test czar. Jordan shared his fortune to social media Thursday morning.

"One little roll back during a game and a sack forced fumble," Jordan wrote, "and it's 'random' drug test time."

By this point, Saints fans might cringe at a sentence that includes drug test and a Saints offensive lineman. Defensive tackle David Onyemata returned in Week 8 following a suspension for a failed drug test, after all. But Jordan's humor about the situation would indicate he's not particularly concerned about the results.

It's not the first time a Saints player has lucked into a drug test immediately following a big game. Former Saints punter Thomas Morstead found himself in a similar situation, begging people to question whether the "random" system was simply targeting players with a sudden run of big games.

Morstead punted that theory back in 2019, while tweeting an image of his own drug test letter.

"As a member of the NFLPA and executive committee I can, in fact, confirm that this test is indeed random," Morstead said.

The former Saints punter passed that drug test. Jordan will likely pass his. And Saints fans will hope more players perform well enough to raise even more eyebrows the rest of the season.
