Perhaps a good first omen for the New Orleans Saints on the fake injury fine front?

According to Adam Schefter, defensive end Cam Jordan won his appeal of his $50,000 fine stemming from the Saints allegedly violating league rules on faking injuries during their Week 13 loss to the Bucs, and the fine has been rescinded.

During that game, Jordan was deemed to fake an injury when he went to the turf prior to a Bucs punt in the fourth quarter, as the league riled that the move was an intentional ploy to delay the Bucs, who were mulling a 4th down decision deep in their own territory.

Jordan denied it on social media after the game, but he and co-defensive coordinator Ryan Nielsen were fined $50K each, while the team was fined $350,000 and head coach Dennis Allen was fined $100,000.

The Saints have also appealed the team and staff fines, with those appeals scheduled to have been heard this week.
