Ex-NFL star Chad Johnson has another Saints request: Marquez Callaway's signature

Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson apparently never did get that place to stay he had asked for, but he's got a simpler Saints-themed request this time around.

That'd be a jersey and autograph from the Saints' breakout WR Marquez Callaway, who set social media ablaze with his two-touchdown performance against the Jaguars on Monday night.

And the artist formerly known as OchoCinco had a, uh, unique way of phrasing the question.

"I know you can see my tweet being thirsty but i don’t give two drops of giraffe poop in the Serengeti, i need your jersey & an autograph," Johnson tweeted at the young Saints WR on Tuesday.

Callaway made sure to let Johnson know the Saints actually did practice on Tuesday, but he was anticipating an off day.

Callaway has been opening eyes all camp, thrust into the spotlight in the absence of Michael Thomas as he recovers from offseason surgery.

It's a bit of a different tune for the former NFL standout who earlier this offseason had offered his services to the team for a pretty reasonable price: A place to stay and transportation.

Johnson, who starred for multiple seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, last played in the NFL with the New England Patriots in 2011. This past year he's been expanding his athletic boundaries, even taking on undercard fights as a pro boxer.

The Saints are back in action on Saturday when they host the Arizona Cardinals in the final game of the preseason.
