We have entered draft month football freaks! The NFL’s opening round of the big event is April 29th and there has been big time trade movement already with more likely to come.

Like many NFL, the Saints are in unknown territory at quarterback.
For the first time in 15 years, someone other than Drew Brees will be running the show. Jameis Winston, Taysom Hill, and Trevor Siemian are on the roster right now, so dumping future draft equity to jump up from 28 to snag one of the top arms in this year’s class might not be a priority. Linebacker, cornerback, defensive line, and wide receiver should be.

Caleb Farley CB, Virginia Tech

Has great the great combo of length and speed at 6ft2, 207 pounds. A good match-up against bigger, more physical receivers and there are plenty in the NFC South.

Farley has been compared to Baltimore Raven Jimmy Smith when he was coming out of Colorado.

“Both guys are big, physical and instinctive,” said NFL Network’s Daniel Jeramiah. “They're at their best in press coverage, and they can mirror and match all over the field. Smith was a more fluid mover, but I think Farley is more consistent and reliable. When healthy, Smith has been one of the premier players at his position, and I see a similar trajectory for Farley.”

Health is the only reason I see Farley falling to the Black & Gold. Without back surgery this offseason, he would be the top CB in the 2021 class.
