The New Orleans Saints were busy on Saturday, and they'll be without a key player for at least four weeks.
Saints return ace Deonte Harty has been sent to injured reserve with a foot injury suffered early in the Week 5 win over the Seahawks. Harty will be out a minimum of four weeks, but could return as early as Week 10 if healthy enough to do so.
The Saints also signed a pair of WRs, Keith Kirkwood and Rashid Shaheed, and waived quarterback Jake Luton. For the second consecutive week CB Chris Harris will be elevated from the practice squad along with WR Kevin White.
Shaheed is the FCS record-holder for kickoff return touchdowns with seven, and he's expected to be involved as a returner for the first time. Kirkwood and White could also have a role with the Saints also missing WRs Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry.
The Luton move also indicated that Jameis Winston could be active on Sunday, though backup Andy Dalton is expected to start. If Winston isn't active, Taysom Hill would likely be in the backup role.
The Saints and Bengals face off in Week 6 at noon in the Caesars Superdome.
