File this under things you don’t want to see as a New Orleans Saints fan: Derek Carr was forced to exit Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers with a shoulder injury.
The Saints quarterback left the game in the third quarter after being sacked by Green Bay’s Rashan Gary. As Carr was driven to the ground he landed hard on his right shoulder and appeared to be in a lot of pain.
Carr was initially evaluated in the blue medical tent before leaving the sidelines to receive X-rays on his shoulder, according to the FOX broadcast.
Carr, who had the Saints up 17-0 over the Packers at the time of the injury, was initally deemed questionable to return before ultimately being ruled out.
Jameis Winston replaced Carr for the remainder of the game.
