The New Orleans Saints are 14-point underdogs against the Green Bay Packers ahead of tonight's game at Lambeau Field. Part of the reason for that point spread is the Saints offensive line and the struggle it's expected to have against Green Bay's defensive line.
"Their defensive front is pretty doggone good," NFL analyst Mike Detillier told WWL's Tommy Tucker.
According to Detillier, the Packers' defensive line will pose problems for the Saints offense all night long, especially right tackle Trevor Penning. With rookie Spencer Rattler starting at quarterback for the Saints tonight, Detillier questions if Penning will be able to provide the pocket protection Rattler will need.
"For any young quarterback, you want to get him comfortable," Detillier said. "I think on the left side, you have something there with Taliese Fuaga. You know what you have in McCoy. What you don't know a lot about is how will Penning will hold up."
Detillier is anxious to see if Penning will rebound from his struggles against Washington last week.
"And you can bet (Green Bay) will try to get (defensive end) Rashan Gary one-on-one with him to see how well he holds up."
