It was a costly day for the Saints due to the loss of starting quarterback Jameis Winston for the season, but it was Bucs linebacker Devin White who paid financially.

The former LSU standout netted a pair of fines totaling over $25,000 stemming from the Week 8 loss to the Saints, according to a report from NOLA.com.

The first fine came on the horsecollar tackle that resulted in Winston's torn ACL. That fine was for just over $15,000.

The second fine stemmed from a taunting penalty picked up later in the game, and was for just over $10,000.

The 11 penalties rolled up the game cost the Bucs 99 yards in total and were a big factor in allowing the Saints to come away with the win. Backup Trevor Siemian led multiple scoring drives that were extended due to penalty, including the go-ahead scoring drive that ended in a chip-shot field goal for Brian Johnson and a lead New Orleans would not relinquish. PJ Williams ultimately picked off Tom Brady and returned it for a touchdown that sealed the win.

Siemian has been named the starting QB for the Saints in their Week 9 matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, with New Orleans sitting just a half-game behind the Bucs for the top spot in the NFC South.
