In the days leading up to the showdown between the Bengals and the Saints at the Caesars Superdome, former New Orleans CB Eli Apple said he hoped the fans of his former team would "stay classy."

He had stayed quiet throughout much of the week, just 10 months removed from some less-than-flattering remarks about the city he called home for the better part of two seasons. In the end he couldn't help himself.

Apple posted one parting troll after his team's 30-26 victory: "Who Dey > Who Dat."

The sentiment is up for debate, but the reality is not. The Bengals were the superior team in Week 6, and Apple was at the center of a lot of it. He was burned twice in third-down conversions in the first half, though he did get in the backfield for a rare tackle for loss on Taysom Hill.

He was also involved in a pair of questionable moments in the second half. One came as he put a shoulder into Alvin Kamara who appeared to be the target of a pass from Hill. It appeared the QB was throwing the ball into the dirt, but it was still close. He was also in coverage on the Saints' final play and fell down as Andy Dalton lofted a 4th and 17 pass in the direction of Marquez Callaway. The Saints WR actually tripped over Apple as he lay on the ground, but it was deemed to not have been a foul.

Apple had six tackles on the day as his team climbed back to .500 at 3-3, while the Saints still sit firmly on the struggle bus at 2-4.
