It didn’t take long for former Saints tight end Josh Hill to find a new team. And it just so happens he’ll be playing for the same coach as he signed with the Detroit Lions Saturday.
The Lions are coached by former Saints assistant Dan Campbell who coached tight ends in New Orleans the past five seasons before being hired as the head coach in Detroit.
The Saints released Hill earlier months as they worked to get under the NFL’s salary cap.
The 30-year old tight end has played 117 regular season games New Orleans and posted 116 receptions for 1,071 yards with 15 touchdowns along with 27 special teams tackles.
He appeared 14 games last season and tallied eight receptions for 46 yards with one touchdown.
