The New Orleans Saints offense has been stagnant as of late, and the lack of production, at least from the fans' point of view, is falling mostly on the shoulders of the team's triggerman.

And while the general feeling hasn't totally shifted towards making a change at the quarterback position, there's definitely a feeling that Derek Carr needs to improve. But at least one pundit feels a change IS necessary.

Fox Sports analyst Rob Gronkowski offered in a video posted on Twitter that he feels the Saints should insert Jameis Winston into the lineup to perhaps spark a change in their offensive fortunes.

“The consistency is not there with Derek Carr,” Gronkowski said. “That’s a problem where you would have to go in and now you’re gonna have to look at the possibilities of starting Jameis Winston just because of the inconsistency.

“And I would say that kind of, you know, tends to be kind of his whole career. You know, he always is about to help you win and then he just has that bummer throw which is no good.”

The Saints battle the Detroit Lions Sunday at noon on WWL.
