The New Orleans Saints officially have their top-end WR tandem with the addition of Jordyn Tyson to a WR room that already includes Chris Olave. But how will the dynamic look in the long-term?

"You’ve got to complement one another," Hebert said, "so I think Chris Olave is going to get paid well, but I still think when all is said and done Jordyn Tyson will be the man."
The bigger question for Tyson is availability, which will be a hot topic if and when he misses time, particularly early in his career. Tyson suffered a major knee injury in 2022 that also cost him the entirety of the 2023 season. He had another a season-ending injury (broken collarbone) in 2024 and battled nagging hamstring issues in 2025 that cost him three games and a majority of the offseason workout circuit.
"I think his route-running ability is the best in his class. That’s always a quarterback’s best friend, you don’t have that tight window. Look, he’s open, you’ve got to him him," Hebert said. "So I’m excited about the pick, but he’s got to stay healthy. … You’ve got to be available. If he could be the wide receiver version of Cam Jordan, he’ll be a Hall of Famer."
In the meantime Saints fans will settle for a duo that makes defensive coordinators lose some sleep. Olave is coming off a season where he put up 100 catches for 1,108 yards and 9 TDs, all career highs. He's currently heading into the fifth and final year of his rookie deal, but is likely to land a big-money extension before long. However the target share splits up, it's a matter of taking advantage of opportunities and being available.
“They can’t double team everybody," Hebert said. "You’ve got single coverage, you’ve got to win, and I trust that Tyler Shough is going to go through his reads and get the ball out there.”
Deuce addresses the elephant in the room regarding the Saints first round pick. But there's one thing that isn't a question: Tyson's talent.

Deuce's take: “You knew you wanted to get some weapons for him, so whether it was in the first round or second round, felt pretty good that the Saints were going to get a receiver. You knew that you had to get some juice. … The explosive ability of Jordyn Tyson. The only knock, and it’s a serious knock, the only knock that you have, looking at those injuries.

“Those are all things that have to be accounted for, but the talent is no question.”
