For the last few weeks, Saints fans have seen various signs of frustration boiling over from the teammates who play on the offensive side of the ball.

On Sunday, New Orleans couldn’t find its way into the Atlanta end zone and came up short in divisional matchup after scoring all its points on five Blake Grupe field goals.

The lack of touchdowns has been a problem all season long, and several failed drives have led to consternation and sometimes arguments on the sideline, usually involving quarterback Derek Carr.

With the fanbase becoming divided on whether or not Carr is the right man to lead the Saints offense, injured receiver Michael Thomas seemingly weighing in, albeit briefly, on social media.

During the Saints’ loss to the Falcons, Carr threw a pick-six to an Atlanta defender, and an online commenter posted on X (formerly Twitter), “He read that route perfectly omg.”

Thomas, under his official X handle @cantguardmike, responded to the comment with simply, “lol did he.” The post was later taken down after about 20 minutes, but seemed to imply that the pass was a mistake by Carr, not just a great play by Atlanta’s Jessie Bates.

Thomas is currently on injured reserve after getting hurt November 12 against the Minnesota Vikings.
