The New Orleans Saints activated receivers Juwan Johnson and Austin Carr as COVID-19 replacements ahead of the Saints matchup with the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
New Orleans also elevated offensive lineman Will Clapp from the practiced squad.
Prior to the move the Saints only had three available receivers on the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday’s game, Tre’Quan Smith, Deonte Harris and Marquez Callaway.
New Orleans is without top receiver Michael Thomas, who was ruled out with a hamstring injury, along with Bennie Fowler and Emmanuel Sanders.
Sanders was added to the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list this week after a positive test for the Coronavirus. Contact tracing also ruled out cornerback Ken Crawley for Sunday’s game.
