Alvin Kamara makes triumphant Twitter return, and he's 'got a few things to say'

New Orleans Saints fans have been experiencing a much quieter version of Alvin Kamara for the better part of two years as a Las Vegas assault charge hung over his head.

But with all but the NFL discipline side of that equation finally settled, the star RB ended his (mostly) quiet Twitter hiatus in style over the weekend. Starting with a cryptic but engaging statement: "I got a few things to say. It been a while but I'm back."

Kamara's list of things he wanted to put out in the world began with a question ... does Twitter CEO and all-around rich/loud dude Elon Musk manage his own Twitter account?

Another question: How much would someone have to pay for you to get punched in the face by Mike Tyson?

The next was a two-parter. One was a message to Liberian Twitter, but the second was more intriguing: Alvin pronounces Kamara (ka-mare-uh) differently than his mom (ka-marr-uh)

There were also pictures of Kamara's mountainous backyard (which he says is in Chalmette ... it's a joke), a first-time trip to the batting cage and more general musings.

But the most important message was saved for last:

"I would like to thank #WhoDatNation for rockin wit me. Y'all really krazy as hell and real as hell ... want y'all to know I peep all the love. Wit love comes hate, but I even love the hate. No we back to regular scheduled program."

While a lengthy suspension could still be in the cards, it's clear Kamara is happy to have the cloud of a legal battle out from over his head. He'll be among the veteran players reporting to Saints training camp this week, with the first practice scheduled for Wednesday, and the first open practice on Friday.

He'll be working alongside veteran Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller as soon as the former TCU standout can get cleared from a knee injury suffered in college.
