Fans looking to attend any New Orleans Saints games this season will have to prove they've been vaccinated for COVID or show a recent negative test, but they shouldn't expect a refund if they get turned away at the gate.
The regulations are in lockstep with city-wide and state mandates that require similar checks for many businesses, as well as masks to be worn indoors.
The Saints issued a statement this week indicating that season-ticket holders won't be refunded if they fail to abide by the regulations, or choose not to, per a report from WDSU.
Unlike last year, season-ticket holders will not be given an option to opt out of the season, and are encouraged to resell those tickets if they don't plan on attending games. The team remains hopeful that increased vaccination rates and further COVID mitigation will allow for reduced or removed requirements to attend as the season progresses.
"We remain optimistic that, with our community’s help and as vaccination rates increase, these restrictions will no longer be necessary as the season progresses," read the statement.
