The New Orleans Saints are battling so many injuries that some fans are now volunteering their services.
On Saturday, a few faithful black-and-gold supporters responded to a fake tryout call that circulated across social media and went to the Saints facility in hopes of helping the team.
Meanwhile, the Saints are still trying to find ways to right the ship with the talent they already have.
"You're just trying to put them in a position to be able to win," Saints radio analyst Deuce McAllister said. "You want to analyze. You want to be able to look at what your doing, look at what are we calling. Can the guys handle what we put together? Are they going out and executing what we're putting together?"
McAllister told WWL's Tommy Tucker that walk-ons wouldn't help the Saints during this trying season. In fact, McAllister points to the reserves who are now filling in for the Black-and-Gold's injured starters as proof that experience matters in the National Football League.
"Your margin of error is very small," McAllister said. "You've got some players that probably shouldn't be playing 15 to 20, maybe 25, plays a game, and now they have to play 50 to 60 plays."
