Perhaps the most gruesome injury in Week 13 happened in the Saints-Lions game, but not to a player, but rather a sideline official.

During a play in the second quarter involving Alvin Kamara, the Saints running back was knocked out of bounds and while sliding to the ground into a ball chain marker’s leg.

The official’s leg bent unnaturally and he was clearly in excruciating pain with what was most likely a broken leg.

You can view the incident here, which could be disturbing for some.

The injury cart came out to carry the official off the field. It is unclear what the official diagnosis of his injury is.
