New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton participated in the Zurich Classic Pro-Am Wednesday and found himself with a precarious shot on one particular hole.
Payton’s ball wound up in the grandstand over looking the green on that hole, but the Saints coach decided to play it and hit an impressive shot to get back on the green. He was as able to sink the put and make par on the hole.
Take a look at the shot below.
After making par, Payton told the PGA Tour’s official Twitter account that “it was kind of crazy a par as I’ve made.”
“The ruling was you can play it down in the tent so if it’s a hard surface, I’m not too good off a tight lie,” Payton said. “And I felt pretty good about both practice swings. I was worried about it hitting that little rail and coming back and knocking my teeth out.
“Look I thumped it good. The key was having a chance to make the putt.“
