Deonte Harris participated fully in the New Orleans Saints' first training camp practice Thursday morning, hours after news broke that he'd been arrested in Baltimore County weeks earlier for alleged drunk driving.
Sean Payton addressed the situation in his press conference, but didn't shine much light on how it might will play out.
“There’s not much to say, other than you guys will wait and see what transpires relating to any type of discipline," Payton said. "You guys will probably know before I will.”
Suspensions involving drunk driving arrests have typically been two games, which was the case for PJ Williams when he was arrested under similar circumstances days after the end of 2018 season. Harris did not address the media after practice.
The Saints are back in action at practice on Friday at their facility in Metairie, the first training camp action open to fans since the 2019 season.
