Saints coach Sean Payton followed through with his promise to be slimmed on Nickelodeon if New Orleans won its playoff game against the Chicago Bears.

After his team’s 21-9 win, Payton as drenched in the network’s signature green slime.

He said on Monday that the slim was “cold and like Jell-O that’s not quite finished being Jell-O.”

Saints players said that seeing their Payton get slimed is just a testament to the type of coach he is.

“He’s an authoritarian in the locker room but he’s also a guy that can have fun,” Saints offensive lineman Erik McCoy. “I thought it was a pretty cool and unique thing for him to do. It just shows that he’s a man of his word and he did it with the Jordan 11s on. Probably not the way I would go about it but it was a cool thing to see.”

Nickelodeon was also broadcasting the game with the perspective of younger viewers in mind and it featured several unique graphics including a “slime cannon” in the end zone.
