The New Orleans Saints are signing former Tulane center Christian Montano, the team announced Tuesday.
Montano and the Saints agreed to a one-year deal, according to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman is the second former Tulane player to sign with the Saints this month. Former Tulane receiver Jalen McCleskey signed with New Orleans earlier this month.
Montano started 13 games for Tulane in 2019 after spending the 2018 and 2017 seasons at Brown. He helped the Green Wave average more than 33 points and 455 yards of total offense per game and rush for a school-record 3,612 rushing yards in 2019.
Montano spent part of last season's training camp with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
