Busy day for the Black & Gold as the Saints announced they've agreed to terms with free agents Taco Charlton and Justin Evans.

The 6ft6, 270-pound Charlton was the 28th overall pick in the 2017 draft by the Dallas Cowboys. The defensive end out of Michigan and had spent time at Miami, Kansas City and Pittsburgh tallying 92 career tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, with 4 forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and three passes defensed.

Evans was a 2nd round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the same 2017 draft out of Texas A&M. He’s played in only 24 career games though due to a number of injuries. His last regular season action came in 2018 and has 124 tackles with four interceptions, eight passes defensed, and a 34-yard fumble returned for a TD...which just so happens to be vs. the Saints.
