The New Orleans Saints will be getting reinforcements along their offensive line for a Week 15 rematch with the Panthers.
RT Taliese Fuaga (ankle) was upgraded to a full participant on Friday and does not have a gameday designation. That's good news, considering backup Asim Richards, who has drawn four starts in relief this season, was one of two players ruled out due to his own ankle injury. Fuaga had just returned from a high ankle sprain suffered against the Rams when he injured the other ankle during the loss to the Dolphins.
Here's how the Saints' final injury report of the week broke down:
LP = limited participation; FP = full participation; DNP = did not participate
- RB Alvin Kamara (ankle/knee): DNP | DNP | DNP - out
- S Justin Reid (knee): DNP | LP | LP - questionable
- OT Asim Richards (ankle): DNP | DNP | DNP - out
- RT Taliese Fuaga (ankle): LP | LP | FP
- RB Devin Neal (abdomen): LP | LP | FP
- DE Chris Rumph II (wrist): LP | FP | FP
- DT Davon Godchaux (NIR - rest): n/a | DNP | FP
The Saints ruled out RB Alvin Kamara for a third straight game, meaning rookie Devin Neal will again lead the backfield attack. Neal was limited with an abdomen injury early in the week but was upgraded to a full participant on Friday. The player to watch heading into Sunday will be Justin Reid, who hasn't played since leaving the field with a knee injury on the first snap against the Dolphins. He was limited on Thursday and Friday and is listed as questionable heading into the weekend. If he can't play, expect another round of increased snaps for Jordan Howden and Terrell Burgess.
The Panthers don't have a single player going into the game with an injury designation, with star CB Jaycee Horn clearing the concussion protocol on Friday.
- LB Claudin Cherilus (concussion): LP | FP | FP
- CB Jaycee Horn (concussion): LP | FP | FP
- C Cade Mays (ankle): | FP | FP | FP
- S Lathan Ransom (thumb): FP | FP | FP
- LB Christian Rozeboom (hip/hamstring): FP | FP | FP
The Saints (3-10) host the Panthers (7-6) inside the Caesars Superdome at 3:25 p.m. Sunday. Catch all the action on WWL and Audacy.
