Saints owner Gayle Benson, LB Demario Davis heading to Paris; here's why

The New Orleans Saints will continue to build their international brand this summer, even if they won't be playing any overseas games in 2025.

The team announced this week that team owner Gayle Benson and star linebacker Demario Davis would be traveling to Paris in the coming weeks to "enhance brand visibility" in France. The Saints' delegation will also include senior support staff, and former NFL head coach Jack Del Rio, who is currently the head coach of the Paris Musketeers of the European League of Football.

"This visit will showcase the Saints international commitment and lay the foundation for expanding their international presence in France and across Europe," the team said in a release.

The trip will span July 10-14 with Davis attending all events on behalf of the team, including a trip to a Musketeers game where Benson and Davis will serve as honorary captains.

The Saints were granted exclusive marketing rights to the French market in 2023 as part of the NFL's effort to expand internationally. The 2025 international slate includes seven games split between Sao Paolo, Brazil; Dublin, Ireland; London, England; Berlin, Germany; and Madrid, Spain. The Saints have not been featured in an international game since they faced the Vikings in London in Week 4 of the 2023 season.
