The New Orleans Saints had three four players upgraded and three players downgraded on Thursday as they prepare for the New York Giants.
Good news first: Both TE Juwan Johnson (ankle) and LG Trevor Penning (LG) got back to practice in a limited capacity after missing Wednesday's session a good sign for those two players at think position groups. The Saints have already ruled out RG Cesar Ruiz (ankle), meaning UDFA Torricelli Simpkins III will be making his second start of the season.
The Saints also upgraded S Justin Reid (knee) and DT John Ridgeway (shoulder), after they were limited on Thursday.

The Saints downgraded three players, though DT Davon Godchaux missed practice for a rest day. WR Trey Palmer (ankle) and CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring) did not participate after being limited on Wednesday. If Yiadom can't play against the Giants it will likely mark the first NFL start for rookie Quincy Riley, who has seen his snap count rise in each of the past three weeks.
Both TE Foster Moreau (knee) and QB Taysom Hill (knee) were limited again, and they most likely will not see their debuts until Week 6 at the earliest. The Saints have up to 21 days before those players must be added to the active roster.
