The New Orleans Saints will have to wait and see how things shape up along the offensive line.
The team had three players miss practice, including Asim Richards, who left midway through the second half against the Bucs with what was described as a high ankle sprain. The good news comes with Taliese Fuaga, who was listed as limited with his own ankle injury. Fuaga had previously been dealing with a high ankle sprain to the other ankle. If neither player can go, it'll likely be William Sherman pulling a start after coming on in relief against Tampa.
RB Alvin Kamara missed practice as he continues to work back from a knee injury, while rookie RB Devin Neal was limited with an abdomen issue. Saints head coach Kellen Moore expressed confidence that Kamara is still expected to return at some point this season.
Here's how the injury report broke down for the Saints on Wednesday:
LP = limited participation; FP = full participation; DNP = did not participate
- RB Alvin Kamara (ankle/knee): DNP
- S Justin Reid (knee): DNP
- OT Asim Richards (ankle): DNP
- RT Taliese Fuaga (ankle): LP
- RB Devin Neal (abdomen): LP
- DE Chris Rumph II (wrist): LP
Veteran safety Justin Reid continues to work back from his own knee injury, but he was present at Wednesday's practice and went through light work early in the session before looking on the rest of the way. Last week it was Jordan Howden taking the bulk of the snaps in his absence, with veteran Terrell Burgess also working in.
On the Panthers side it was also a slim injury report, with no players missing practice and only two listed as limited. Here's how that broke down:
- LB Claudin Cherelus (concussion): LP
- CB Jaycee Horn (concussion): LP
- C Cade Mays (ankle): FP
- S Lathan Ransom (thumb): FP
- LB Christian Roseboom (hip/hamstring): FP
The Saints (3-10) host the Panthers (7-6) at 3:25 p.m. Sunday inside the Caesars Superdome. Catch all the action on WWL and Audacy.
