The New Orleans Saints only had two absences at their first practice ahead of a Week 7 showdown with the Chicago Bears, but that group included a significant name.
Saints star running back Alvin Kamara missed the session due to an ankle issue, his first missed practice of the season. The veteran running back had been nursing an ankle injury initially suffered during the Week 5 win over the Giants and was limited in last week's practices.
Moore said the Wednesday absence wasn't expected to continue and that the injury wasn't worsened by playing in Week 6 against the Patriots. Kamara led the team with 10 carries for 31 yards, and added another 5 catches for 45 yards.
The only other absence was CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring), who hasn't practiced since he went off with the injury ahead of Week 5.

The new additions to the injury report are WR Chris Olave (hip) and CB Alontae Taylor (knee), though neither injury prevented those players from practicing.
Several names have fallen off the injury report entirely from last week, including LG Trevor Penning, RG Cesar Ruiz and TE Juwan Johnson, all of whom had been navigating ankle injuries initially suffered in Week 4 against the Bills. That means the Saints appear on track to have their starting offensive line in action in back-to-back weeks for the first time this season.
John Ridgeway continues to practice in full, but continues to be listed on the injury report because the team hasn't yet activated him from injured reserve.
