There were way too many Who Dats who jumped off the Alvin Kamara hype-train a year ago. Sure, the running back didn’t look like himself most of the 2019 season, but that was because he played through ankle, knee and backs issues.
Now would be a good time to get back on board the bandwagon. The 25-year-old went into the offseason on a mission to rebuild his body and looks bigger, stronger and faster this year.
“Just trying to keep at my craft and keep finding ways to get better,” AK said about his intense workouts. “It's paid off this year; every year, especially this year coming off an injury. I feel back to normal. I forgot what it felt like to play healthy. So, definitely excited about that moving forward.”
Kamara should be excited seeing what the Panthers Christian McCaffery did against this week’s opponent, the Las Vegas Raiders. CMC finished with 98 yards rushing on 23 carries, along with 3 catches for 38 yards and two scores.
With wide receiver Michael Thomas’s status in doubt die to a high-ankle sprain Kamara’s touches and targets could see an uptick, especially against a leaky Las Vegas defense.
